COMPANY HISTORY
Everest started out as a full service IT Department for small and mid-sized businesses offering the following services:

Network Management - design, installation & management.

Software Development - custom database applications, client/server applications, web sites & web based applications.

Hardware Sales - Custom build Servers and PCs.
|
|
ISP Services - Dialup, xDSL & T1 internet access, full service DNS, e-mail and web site hosting.

Reselling - Hardware, software, peripherals and supplies.
|
These services were offered because it was a pain for our clients and for us to deal with the individual suppliers. The quality of service was poor from these suppliers so we ended up bringing these services in-house.
Over the years other vendors’ quality of service and products improved and they became very price effective. The main reason for Everest to offer these services was quality of service and better pricing. When other companies became specialized and improved their pricing and quality of service it no longer made sense for Everest to offer those commoditized products and services.
We knew that a well designed and well managed network is the heart of the company’s Information System. The network is the foundation and everything else runs on it. If the network has problems or if it goes down then the accounting software, e-mail, web access, printing and all other Information System resources are of no use. Network design, installation and management have been our core business from the beginning and we re-focused on that service.
